The Tre Cime di Lavaredo are the symbol of the beauty of the Dolomites’ landscapes. On these Mountains were written great pages of history of mountaineering. Around them there is a network of footpaths suitable for all types of walkers. Moreover they are a magical attraction for hikers, climbers and mountaineers who love skiing.
The Braies Lake strikes for the stunning colors of the water: dark blue with light emerald reflections. Surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Dolomites of Braies, it is an ideal destination for excursions and is a starting point for hikes in the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Natural Park. Legend tells that here there was the door leading to the underground kingdom of Fanes.
The Misurina Lake is the largest natural lake of Cadore and is located at 1,754m A.S.L. in Misurina, a hamlet of Auronzo di Cadore. This location is famous all over the world for its particular microclimate and its pure and balsamic air.
Mountainous complex, part of the Nuvolau group, inside the Ampezzo Dolomites, northwest of San Vito di Cadore and southwest of Cortina D’Ampezzo. In winter they are a very important ski resort of the Ampezzo Valley, whose slopes are part of the Dolomiti Superski area that connects to the Lagazuoi and the Col Gallina.
During the summer, trips and excursions can be made in the woods and on the well-equipped paths. The Cinque Torri are a popular destination for mountaineers and sport climbers, thanks to the wide choice of routes with various difficulties.
The Sorapis Lake is one of the most magical places in the Dolomites. Set at 1,900 m of altitude, this lake enchants for its turquoise colour and for the nuances that vary depending on the angle of the sun, on the shadows of the plants and on the calcareous soil underneath, creator of this surreal coloration.
The village of Cibiana di Cadore is situated in the small and faraway Valley of the river Rite. Named as “Country of murals” for frescoes painted on the walls of the houses, it is an open-air museum that, every year is enriched with works by Italian and foreign artists.
In 2002 the “Museum in the Clouds” was opened on Monte Rite, dedicated to the history of the Dolomites, part of the project Messner Mountain Museum, curated by the famous South Tyrolean mountaineer, Reinhold Messner.
